Privacy Policy
Last updated: this reflects ADATRO's current, LocalStorage-only version.
No Server-Side Accounts (Yet)
This version of ADATRO does not use a server or database to store student accounts. ADATRO does not currently send your information to any backend or third party — there isn't one. Everything described below is stored only in your own browser, on your own device, using a technology called LocalStorage.
What Is Stored Locally
Depending on how you use ADATRO, the following may be saved in your browser's LocalStorage:
- Your student display name (if you create a local account).
- A local account identifier and the email and password you set, used only to log you back in on this device.
- Your practice and mock exam progress and scores.
- Bookmarked questions.
- Your study streak.
- Your exam countdown setting, if you set one.
- Other preferences, such as your dark/light theme choice.
What This Means for You
- Your account and progress are tied to this specific browser and device — they are not automatically backed up anywhere.
- Clearing your browser or site data will remove your locally stored account, progress, bookmarks and streak.
- Using a different device or browser will not automatically show your existing account or progress — ADATRO does not currently offer cloud synchronization.
- Because there is no backend, ADATRO cannot recover your account or data for you if it's lost on your device.
Information We Do Not Ask For
ADATRO does not request your password by email, your bank details, your BVN, your NIN, or any payment card information. If you ever receive a message asking for this in ADATRO's name, please do not respond and contact us using the details on our Contact page.
Changes to This Policy
If ADATRO introduces real backend accounts in the future, this policy will be updated to clearly explain what changes and how your data would be handled at that point.
